A few years ago, someone very close to me was bitten by a stray dog. At the time, we didn't think much of it — just a small wound. Days passed, and the signs began: restlessness, confusion, a fear of water. By the time we understood what was happening, it was too late.
That loss changed me forever. Then recently, I spoke with a friend from another part of the world — and discovered they had never even heard of rabies. Something so deadly. So preventable. Still so unknown.
